Pay Range: $21.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Position Summary

CAN Behavioral Health is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) to join our growing team for an evening shift position. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals struggling with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns. This role requires strong clinical documentation skills, proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR), and the ability to complete accurate and comprehensive assessments and treatment documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct substance use assessments and screenings.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals.
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling services.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and detailed clinical documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Complete biopsychosocial assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries, and other required documentation.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment recommendations as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams and community providers.
• Ensure compliance with confidentiality standards, HIPAA regulations, and accreditation requirements.
• Participate in clinical supervision, staff meetings, and ongoing training opportunities.

QualificationsRequired:

• Current Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) credential in good standing.
• High School Diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health-related field preferred.
• Experience providing substance use disorder counseling and treatment services.
• Strong understanding of assessment procedures, case management, and treatment planning.
• Demonstrated ability to complete thorough, detailed, and clinically appropriate documentation.
• Experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and other healthcare technology platforms.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Preferred:

• Experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
• Knowledge of Ohio behavioral health regulations and documentation requirements.
• Experience with telehealth platforms and digital healthcare tools.
