Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing clinical documentation standards and medical terminology to develop tailored treatment plans.
• Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
• Implement crisis intervention strategies to support patients experiencing acute mental health emergencies or behavioral crises, ensuring safety and stabilization.
• Facilitate psychotherapy modalities including motivational interviewing, behavioral health interventions, and specialized therapies for PTSD, addiction, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Alzheimer’s care, and developmental disabilities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans, case management activities, and community outreach efforts while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies.
• Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, adhering to medical documentation standards and ICD coding protocols.
• Participate in clinical research initiatives by collecting data for ongoing studies related to mental health interventions, behavioral health outcomes, and evidence-based practice improvements.

Qualifications

• Must know how to complete a clinical LOCUS
• Preferred TherapyNotes experience. (EMR)
• Valid licensure as a Certified Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW-C or equivalent) with active state certification.
• Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or adults in mental health or behavioral health settings.
• Strong knowledge of psychotherapy techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, crisis management, and trauma-informed care such as PTSD care.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and data collection purposes.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is highly preferred.
• Ability to perform mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9/ICD coding systems; experience with CPT coding is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction across diverse cultural backgrounds; adept at client communication and social work practices.
• Knowledge of medical terminology related to psychiatric patient care, psychopharmacology, geriatrics, pediatrics, special education environments, and crisis management protocols.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice standards in clinical social work and behavioral health interventions.
