Compensation: $65,000 – $78,000 annually

About the Role

RECOVERY Health Solutions is seeking a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) to join our growing substance use disorder treatment team. This position is ideal for an LADC who enjoys a varied clinical role and working directly with individuals at different stages of their recovery.

The LADC will primarily conduct comprehensive assessments and individual counseling sessions, while also supporting our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and facilitating groups as needed. This role works closely with our multidisciplinary team to help clients access appropriate services, develop individualized treatment goals, and receive coordinated, person-centered care throughout their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive substance use disorder assessments and provide clinical recommendations for appropriate levels of care
  • Provide individual substance use disorder counseling and ongoing support to clients
  • Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans based on client needs, strengths, and recovery goals
  • Complete required clinical documentation accurately and within established timelines
  • Maintain client records and assessment tracking within our EMR system
  • Facilitate or provide coverage for IOP group sessions as needed
  • Collaborate with counselors, mental health professionals, treatment coordinators, recovery coaches, and other members of the multidisciplinary team
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment recommendations as appropriate
  • Support clients in developing coping skills, strengthening recovery supports, and building long-term recovery capital
  • Help connect clients with additional internal and community-based services when appropriate
  • Maintain professional, ethical, and person-centered standards of care

Qualifications

  • Active LADC license in Minnesota required
  • Experience providing substance use disorder counseling and conducting comprehensive assessments
  • Experience facilitating substance use disorder treatment groups preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and at varying stages of recovery
  • Comfortable using electronic medical record (EMR) systems for clinical documentation
  • Collaborative, dependable, and able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Compassionate and approachable with a strong commitment to client-centered care
  • Must pass a DHS background study
