Psychotherapist Job Summary

Our ideal applicant is passionate about working with traumatized clients and has a Masters in counseling/psychology, social work or related field and has an active state license.

We are actively seeking to add 1-2 energetic and committed individuals to join our practice. We are looking for psychotherapists to help our clients overcome their trauma/mental health issues. You do not have to have experience in trauma work; however, you will be working with mostly trauma clients so be prepared to be mentored/supervised by a trauma specialist. You will be rewarded handsomely for your efforts but most importantly you will develop skills to set you apart in the job market.

Psychotherapist Duties and Responsibilities

Your main duties will include:

• Provide an initial intake/assessment for new clients.

• Develop a treatment plan that addresses identified issues.

• Meet with patients at least once weekly to provide treatment and assess progress.

• Complete therapy notes in a timely manner/keep record of client visits.

• Attend case conferences at least monthly to stay up-to-date on evolving issues.

. Complete trauma training as required to improve skill set.

Psychotherapist Requirements and Qualifications

• Masters in counseling/psychology/marriage and family, social work or related field.

• State licensure to practice therapy.

• Strong listening and communication skills.

• Engender a compassionate, judgement free zone.

• Willingness to practice outside of comfort level.
