Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker I (LCSW-I), Marriage and Family Therapist I (MFT-I), or Certified Professional Counselor I (CPC-I) to join a solo private practice in Sparks, NV. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide vital mental health and behavioral care services across diverse settings, including community clinics, hospitals, and home-based environments. You will play a key role in delivering evidence-based interventions, conducting comprehensive assessments, and supporting individuals of all ages—including children, adolescents, and adults—through their mental health journeys. Duties

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing clinical terminology and standardized tools such as ICD-10 coding systems.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and crisis intervention techniques.
• Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical confidentiality policies.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems to document patient care accurately, track progress, and facilitate seamless communication among multidisciplinary teams.
• Engage in case management activities such as patient care coordination, intake assessments, and follow-up to ensure comprehensive support for clients with complex needs.
• Implement specialized interventions for populations with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD care requirements, substance use disorders, or geriatrics including Alzheimer’s care.
• Collect data for clinical research projects related to behavioral health outcomes while adhering to research protocols and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with community resources to enhance home & community care efforts and support clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with clinical research advancements, medical terminology updates, and behavioral health best practices.

Experience

• Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or adults in mental health or behavioral health settings.
• Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, motivational interviewing, and behavioral therapy techniques.
• Prior experience working within hospital environments or community clinics providing psychiatric patient care and crisis management services.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation, data collection, and medical records management aligned with HIPAA standards.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), including special education settings if applicable.
• Knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnostic evaluation documentation.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations from various cultural backgrounds while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
• Strong understanding of medical social work principles related to patient assessment, mental health interventions, addiction counseling, psychopharmacology considerations, and psychiatric care planning.

Pay: $55.00 - $70.00 per hour
