Join an Established, Trauma-Informed Private Practice

Integrated Therapy Associates is seeking a full-time, EMDR-trained licensed mental health clinician to join our well-established private practice in Wilmington, North Carolina.

For nearly 20 years, we have provided high-quality psychotherapy to the Wilmington community within a professional environment that values clinical excellence, collaboration, integrity, and thoughtful trauma-informed care.

We are particularly interested in a clinician who has experience working with—or a strong interest in working with—first responders and other public safety professionals, including law enforcement officers and firefighters.

Completion of an approved EMDR basic training is required for this position. Ongoing EMDR consultation is available to EMDR-trained practitioners, providing an opportunity to continue developing confidence and sophistication in the use of EMDR with trauma, complex presentations, and public safety populations.

Prior experience working with first responders is welcomed but not required. Clinicians with a genuine interest in developing expertise with this population are strongly encouraged to apply.

Compensation & Caseload

This is a full-time independent contractor position with a 60/40 compensation split, with 60% of collected clinical revenue paid to the clinician.

Depending upon service and reimbursement rate, clinician compensation is approximately $70–$140 per clinical hour.

A full-time caseload is approximately 25 client sessions per week.

Our practice has an established presence in the Wilmington community and plentiful referrals to assist the clinician in developing and maintaining a full-time caseload.

Our goal is to provide the professional infrastructure that allows clinicians to devote their energy primarily to excellent clinical care rather than independently managing the administrative and overhead demands of solo practice.

The Position

Applicants must hold an active North Carolina license as a:

• Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Licensed Psychologist

The clinician will develop a diverse adult caseload and will have opportunities to work with first responders and other public safety professionals, as well as clients from the broader community.

We are seeking someone interested in developing and maintaining a full-time clinical practice and becoming an active, collaborative member of our professional community.

Clinical Interests & Experience

• Life transitions and adjustment

Required Qualifications

Applicants must:

• Hold an active North Carolina license as an LCMHC, LCSW, or Licensed Psychologist
• Have completed an approved EMDR basic training
• Have experience treating trauma or a strong interest in trauma-focused psychotherapy
• Be interested in developing and maintaining a full-time caseload of approximately 25 clinical sessions per week
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgment and strong professional ethics
• Maintain timely and appropriate clinical documentation
• Value collaboration, collegiality, and respectful professional relationships

Experience working with first responders/public safety professionals is preferred but not required. A genuine interest in developing competence with this population is important.
