Job Opportunity: Adolescent Psychologist or Psychotherapist in Manhattan

I am a Clinical Psychologist in private practice for 20 years with an office located on Gramercy Park North in Manhattan. I am seeking to hire a part-time adolescent therapist. This is a hybrid position in my Manhattan office, with availability needed during after-school and evening hours. You must be willing to see patients in-person at least one day a week with an option to see patients up to 3 days a week in-office.

Job Description

I would like to hire a licensed adolescent therapist to join my team. We are a warm practice known for our clinical expertise, currently serving a diverse adult patient population of self-paying individuals and couples. Our clinicians work from an integrative framework in a collaborative, supportive environment.

The role

• In-person and remote, fee-for-service position based in my Manhattan office on 21st Street between Lexington and 3rd Ave.
• Individual therapy for adolescents (ages 11-18), as well as family therapy when indicated
• Availability during after-school/evening hours required
• Compensation of $125-150 per clinical hour
• Weekly individual supervision by a licensed clinical psychologist (me)
• Your own furnished office with Wifi and use of shared kitchen and waiting room
• Flexible scheduling, with support in building a caseload and developing a professional identity as a private practitioner
• You will be required to carry your own malpractice insurance

Who I'm looking for: Experienced PhD, PsyD, LCSW with a license to practice psychotherapy in New York State. Familiarity with psychodynamic psychotherapy, CBT/ DBT is a plus, as is experience working with children and adults across a range of ages. I'm looking for someone who is otherwise employed and looking to slowly build a private practice treating a population not currently serviced by my practice (adolescents and families). You are self-motivated, curious, and interested in learning while building a private practice within a supportive group setting.
