Independently Licensed Counselor

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical counseling services to clients as scheduled, adhering to company policies, professional standards, and ethical guidelines.
• Collaborate with clients' treatment teams as necessary, including psychiatrists, schools, physicians, and other professionals.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of client documentation in the EHR system, including intake assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, termination summaries, case notes, and other required forms or records, as mandated by BLISS Counseling and Consulting or relevant third parties.
• Actively participate in staff meetings, case consultations, and training sessions as directed by BLISS Counseling and Consulting.
• Uphold a professional demeanor that fosters positive relationships and reflects the values and reputation of BLISS Counseling and Consulting and its affiliates.
• Maintain current and valid professional licensure and liability insurance in compliance with organizational requirements.
• Ability to commit to a minimum of 12 hours a week.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a Master's degree or higher in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education, Marriage and Family, or a related field.
• Must hold a valid clinical license in the state of Alabama. Candidates without an independent licensure will not be considered. Examples of acceptable licenses include, but are not limited to, LPC, LPC-S, LICSW, LICSW-S, LMHC, and LMFT.
• Current credentialed with BCBS is highly preferred.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to work with diverse populations.
• Comfortable providing services to individuals across various age groups.
• If working with adolescents, must at least offer a hybrid schedule.
• Bilingual clinicians are highly encouraged to apply.

Preferred Requirements

• Actively credentialed with BCBS with an independent contract.
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule.
• Evening and weekend availability.
• Addiction certifications.
• Clinicians specializing in Sex Positivity/Kink, Grief, Complex PTSD, Adult ADHD, & EMDR, and other Neurodivergent diagnoses.
