Hybrid -Therapist (MSW / LCSW / LMHC - Clinical Mental Health Counseling) Paid Supervision

Edwin Williford - TAP

Dedham, MA · Remote or hybrid $52 – $87 an hour Fulltime Last week

About the role

If you have a Master of Social Work (MSW) or a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, this role is built for the transition from student to licensed clinician. You'll work out of our Dedham, MA clinic on a path toward MA LCSW/LICSW licensure (MSW) or the LMHC pathway (counseling degrees), with real clinical supervision from day one.

You'll start with paid orientation, get matched with a dedicated licensed Clinical Supervisor, and build your caseload gradually instead of getting thrown into a full schedule in week one.

  • A dedicated licensed Clinical Supervisor, paid weekly
  • New clients added gradually — about 5–6 per week
  • A Peer Partner mentor from day one
  • Hybrid schedule: 2 days onsite in Dedham, the rest remote

You get a compensation even when a client cancels or no-shows

Day to Day

  • Provide outpatient counseling and psychotherapy
  • Work 2 days onsite in Dedham plus remote days
  • Complete intakes, assessments, treatment plans, and clinical notes
  • Work toward a target of 25+ sessions per week as your caseload builds
  • Collaborate with your supervisor and peers on ethical, trauma-informed care

Focus on clients, not admin — referrals, scheduling, billing, and intake are handled by internal teams.

We don't expect you to hit the ground running with a full caseload on day one — that's a recipe for burnout, not good clinical work.

Orientation covers our workflows, intake and assessment procedures, documentation standards, and treatment planning, and includes shadowing and co-leading your first intakes alongside an experienced clinician.

From there, your caseload grows on a steady schedule of about 5–6 new clients per week, with your Clinical Supervisor factoring in your internship background, clinical interests, language skills, and career goals as they build out your caseload.

Who You'll Get to Work With

You'll get exposure to a wide mix of settings and populations as your caseload grows, working with:

  • Community-based nonprofits and local service agencies
  • Schools and educational programs
  • Court-mandated programs and justice-system partners
  • Nursing homes and other older-adult and long-term-care settings
  • Shelters, supportive housing, and other community resources
  • DCF and foster-care-connected services
  • Hospitals and behavioral-health post-discharge programs

Clients covered by MassHealth, Medicare, Medicaid, and major commercial insurance

That range gives new clinicians a genuinely broad foundation across populations, life stages, and levels of need.

Support That Doesn't End After Orientation

  • Paid weekly supervision with a dedicated licensed Clinical Supervisor
  • Structured support toward Massachusetts LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC licensure
  • Direct access to clinical leadership for consultation and debriefing after tough sessions
  • A Peer Partner mentor from day one
  • A paid, live one-hour clinical training every week, built into your schedule
  • Training across trauma-informed care, psychopharmacology, mental health law, diagnostic assessment, crisis response, culturally responsive treatment, documentation, and clinical interventions
  • Free CEUs and continued professional development
  • Paid malpractice insurance
  • Coverage for eligible independent-licensure costs and renewal fees
