Practice independently without having to build a practice alone.
Caren Stewart & Associates is an established and growing group mental health practice seeking independently licensed clinicians to join our team.
We're looking for clinicians who want professional autonomy and control over their schedules without personally managing every administrative piece required to maintain a clinical practice.
Who We're Looking For
Applicants must hold an active independent clinical license in South Carolina. Qualified clinicians may include:
- LPC

- LMFT
- Other independently licensed mental health professionals whose credentials permit independent clinical practice in South Carolina
This position is for licensed mental health clinicians. Coaching certifications and other non-clinical credentials do not meet the licensure requirement.
Additional state licensure, advanced credentials, specialty certifications, and extensive clinical experience are welcomed and may be reflected in compensation.
What We Offer
- $55–$60+ per completed clinical service, depending on experience, credentials, licensure, and qualifications
- Practice-provided client referrals
- Flexible scheduling with clinicians establishing their own schedules
- Established group-practice structure with organizational/group NPI
- Administrative, billing, credentialing, and payer-enrollment support

- Private office space
- Hybrid in-person/telehealth opportunities
- Practice-paid required background, registry, and exclusion screenings at hire and annually
- Diverse referral population across the lifespan

We prefer clinicians interested in maintaining an average of at least 20 completed client sessions per week. Clinicians interested in larger caseloads are welcome.
In-person availability in our Conway, SC office is strongly preferred, with hybrid opportunities available.
Already Credentialed With Insurance?
Even better.
Current individual insurance credentialing or payer enrollment is highly desirable, particularly South Carolina Medicaid enrollment. Existing Medicaid, Medicare, or commercial payer enrollment may help expedite affiliation and credentialing with our group where permitted by the payer.
Employment Options
W-2 employment is available.
Qualifying independently licensed clinicians may also be considered for an independent-contractor arrangement when the actual working relationship meets applicable requirements. Approved 1099 contractors must provide proof of required independent coverage, including applicable workers' compensation insurance.
