Fully Licensed Counselor Position

We are seeking a Fully Licensed Counselor (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health counseling services to diverse populations, including individuals with co-occurring disorders, and trauma-related conditions such as PTSD. Your expertise will support clients through evidence-based practices like cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and behavioral management strategies. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments utilizing DSM-5 criteria and ICD coding standards to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual and family therapy sessions employing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and behavioral therapy.
• Deliver crisis intervention and crisis management services to ensure immediate safety and stabilization for clients experiencing acute mental health or substance use crises.
• Document all clinical encounters accurately in electronic health records (EHR/EHR management) following HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams including case management, medical providers, and community resources to facilitate holistic patient care.
• Engage in ongoing research and data collection efforts to monitor treatment outcomes and improve clinical practices.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements related to medical records, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and documentation standards for billing purposes.
• Complete insurance documentation and private pay documentation within required time limit.

Skills

• Proven experience in psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, and crisis intervention techniques.
• Strong background in child & family counseling.
• Familiarity with hospital settings, home & community care environments, and behavioral health facilities.
• Knowledge of mental health conditions such as PTSD, co-occurring disorders, and diagnostic evaluation processes using DSM-5 criteria.
• Proficiency in clinical documentation standards, electronic health record systems (EHR), medical terminology, and ICD coding.
• Ability to perform patient assessments, case management, and evidence-based practice implementation effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging patients in individual or group therapy sessions while adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Pay: $30.00 - $120.00 per hour
