Job Description

Under the general direction of the Practice Owner, the Staff Psychotherapist is responsible for providing standardized individual and couples counseling. The Staff Psychotherapist will work to address a variety of patient needs such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and sex therapy. The Staff Psychotherapist will utilize area referral sources for needed specialty care, hospitalization, or advance psychiatric assessments and treatments.

Requirements

  • Independently licensed in the state of Illinois (LCPC, LCSW, LMFT) or pre-licensed (LPC/LSW/MFT)
  • 2+ years post independent license experience preferred for fully-licensed clinicians
  • Experience or interest in working with couples
  • Sex positive, LGBT/Kink/Poly affirming
  • Compliance with and knowledge of HIPAA guidelines
  • Team management and/or crisis management experience preferred
  • Able to implement and follow through with practice systems and guidelines
  • Willing to work at least one evening and one weekend day - flexible schedule with stable caseload
  • Collaborative, a self-starter, organized and professional
  • Able to effectively communicate, receive constructive feedback and work autonomously
  • Personal computer with reliable home internet
  • Willing to undergo reference and background checks

Work Authorization

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Grow and maintain a caseload of 23-25 clinical contact hours per week
  • Provide counseling to individuals and couples
  • Complete progress notes, treatment plans and billing documents in a timely manner
  • Maintain professional and ethical requirements for licensure
  • Contact and schedule clients timely and professionally
  • Actively pursue further training to refine and enhance clinical skills and knowledge
  • Opportunity to expand responsibilities into clinical management role to support the pre-licensed team
