Position Summary
KSBH is seeking dedicated, mission‑aligned School‑Based Therapists to provide direct clinical services within partnered school districts in Akron and Cleveland. This full‑time, on‑site role supports students through assessments, individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, treatment planning, and collaboration with school personnel. Ideal candidates value teamwork, structure, and culturally responsive care within an educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence‑based and culturally responsive practices
- Deliver school‑based mental health services, including crisis support and classroom‑aligned interventions
- Conduct diagnostic assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation per KSBH and Medicaid standards
- Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and required trainings
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and community partners to support student progress
- Uphold ethical standards, confidentiality, and compliance with state and federal regulations
- Contribute to a positive, mission‑driven organizational culture
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's, Master’s degree or doctorate in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
- Active Ohio licensure (LSW, LPC, MFT, LISW, LPCC, IMFT, Psychologist)
- Strong clinical assessment and therapeutic skills
- Ability to work on‑site Monday–Friday within assign school
- Commitment to culturally affirming, trauma‑informed care
Preferred
- Experience in community mental health
- Familiarity with Medicaid documentation standards
- Comfort working with diverse populations and presenting concerns
