EMDR & Trauma Therapist (ASW, AMFT, LCSW, LMFT, psychologist)

Wildhaven Therapy

Oakland, CA $70k – $150k a year Parttime, Fulltime 2 weeks ago

About the role

Join Our Growing Trauma-Focused Team at Wildhaven Therapy

Are you an associate or licensed therapist who wants to do meaningful trauma work, receive thoughtful mentorship, and grow in a practice that invests in your development as a clinician?

Wildhaven Therapy is expanding, and we’re hiring a licensed or prelicensed EMDR/trauma therapist who is grounded, warm, and passionate about helping clients move out of survival mode and into calmer, more connected lives.

Be a Therapist. We’ll Support the Rest.

At Wildhaven Therapy, you get to focus on the work you love. We take care of referrals, admin, infrastructure, and marketing, so you’re never doing this alone.

This role starts slowly and intentionally, with your caseload gradually building. During this time, you’ll receive:

  • Paid marketing time + admin hours
  • Weekly supervision/consultation (pre-licensed)
  • Referral support to grow your caseload sustainably
  • Clear guidance and structure to help you grow as a trauma clinician

You will never be asked to market or complete admin tasks on your own time.

This is a W-2 position, and we ask that clinicians not maintain an outside private practice or another group practice position while employed with us. Our goal is to fully invest in your caseload growth, professional development, and long-term success within Wildhaven, and we look for clinicians who are ready to make the same commitment.

We welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds, including those currently transitioning from another private practice. However, candidates should be prepared to fully conclude any existing private practice or group practice affiliations before joining our team.

This position is an excellent fit for associates who have gained foundational clinical experience in community mental health, hospitals, or similar settings and are looking to transition into an EMDR-focused private practice with mentorship, collaboration, and opportunities for long-term growth.

Work Schedule & Location

This is an in-person position in Oakland, CA, with some telehealth hours based on practice need.

Schedule Requirements

  • Available at least four days per week, Monday through Saturday to accommodate clinical hours and supervision.
  • Available for supervision Tuesday and Thursday afternoons
  • Most clinical hours and supervision are conducted in person.
  • Availability for a minimum of 16 clinical hours per week is required from the start of employment, with 1–3 hours of supervision. Caseloads are built gradually over time, so clinicians are expected to maintain this availability as their schedule fills.
  • To meet client demand, this position requires availability for at least two evenings per week (4:00–8:00 PM) or one evening and Saturday mornings. These are our highest-demand appointment times and typically allow clinicians to build a caseload more quickly.

Compensation

This is a W-2 employee position.

  • Estimated take-home: $70,000–$150,000/year + competitive benefits

Estimated based on a full caseload of approximately 20 clinical hours per week, plus paid administrative time. Compensation varies based on licensure level and experience.
