Early Childhood Supports and Services Clinician (LCSW or LPC)

JeffCare, a program of Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority, is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) comprised of two Health Centers. JeffCare's goal is integration of primary care and behavioral health services to best serve the needs of the population; and, empowerment of individuals to achieve improved quality of life through the provision of effective services, delivered in an environment of integrity and respect.

This position works as a part of the Early Childhood Supports and Services program within JeffCare and provides highly skilled clinical treatment for children ages zero through five and their families. JeffCare is a program of Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority. This position is located in the greater New Orleans metropolitan area in both Metairie, LA and Marrero, LA.

Responsibilities

• Provides Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH) treatment services for children zero through five years and their families. Services shall include parent-child relationship-based assessment, and evidence-based therapeutic treatment.
• Completes initial and recurring assessments, including standardized screening and assessment tools required for ECSS, such as Child and Adolescent Needs and Strength (CANS), Pediatric ACE and Related Life-events Screener (PEARLS), and others.
• Collaborates with Resource Navigators and other ECSS team members to create and update plans of care.
• Provides approved evidence-based treatment interventions of Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) or Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) (if untrained training will be provided).
• Participates in weekly treatment team staffing where education for staff, case consults, and treatment planning for caseloads are provided.
• Participates in group chart reviews to promote education and change in staff documentation to better comply with licensing and billing requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

• Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling
• Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Louisiana
• Certified in PCIT or CPP preferred not required
• Experience with infant, early childhood mental health and outpatient therapy preferred
• Skilled in crisis management and assessments
