Be You Health and Wellness is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Counselor with licensure as an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), LAPC (Licensed Associate Professional Counselor), LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), or LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker) to join our dynamic mental health team. Duties

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations for children and youth to identify needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, art therapy, and trauma-specific interventions.
• Implement behavioral management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to support children experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, schools, and community agencies to coordinate care plans and ensure holistic support for each child’s development.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, clinical notes, and case records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines.
• Collect data on treatment progress and outcomes to inform ongoing care adjustments and improve service quality.
• Provide culturally sensitive counseling that respects diversity and promotes inclusion for clients from various cultural backgrounds.

Skills

• Proven experience working with children, adolescents, and families in mental health or community care settings.
• Strong knowledge of child & youth therapy modalities including play therapy, behavioral therapy, and trauma-informed approaches. (ABA, RBT experience a plus)
• Familiarity with mental health assessments, diagnostic evaluation processes, and crisis management protocols..
• Excellent communication skills for client engagement, case management, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health conditions and experience working within HIPAA guidelines for patient privacy.

Pay: $40.00 per hour
