Clinical Director — Job DescriptionPosition Summary

The Clinical Director is responsible for the oversight, development, and implementation of all clinical and wraparound services provided by On Our Way Home Inc.. The director would ensure that all services meet all applicable regulatory, accreditation, and ethical standards while fostering a trauma-informed, recovery-oriented environment. The Clinical Director supports staff development, ensures appropriate documentation and compliance, and provides clinical supervision as applicable for our recovery housing and peer support programs in Clermont and Brown counties.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all clinical operations, ensuring alignment with organizational mission and compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards (e.g., CARF, OhioMHAS, ORH).

• Provide clinical leadership, consultation, and support to staff and leadership.

• Oversee the organization’s recovery housing program to ensure services are recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and in compliance with all applicable regulations.

• Develop and maintain clinical policies, procedures, and documentation systems.

• Provide or coordinate required clinical supervision for staff and interns (if licensed and applicable).

• Ensure all staff delivering behavioral health or peer support services are properly credentialed, trained, and supervised.

• Oversee quality assurance, incident reporting, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

• Participate in organizational strategic planning, outreach and grant development activities, as applicable.

• Maintain current knowledge of best practices, evidence-based approaches, and relevant changes to regulatory requirements.

• Perform clinical assessments, create, approve and monitor treatment plans and provide on-going direct client care where appropriate to a small caseload of clients.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field required.

• Independent clinical license in Ohio (e.g., LISW, LPCC, LICDC, or equivalent) required.

• Familiarity with CARF accreditation, Medicaid billing requirements/processes and recovery housing standards.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in behavioral health, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

• Experience working with individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders.

• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed and recovery-oriented care.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Additional Information

• Full-time position; schedule negotiable and flexible. Occasional nights and weekends may be required.

• Must pass background checks and meet all eligibility requirements, including the ability to access and travel to and about all properties and sites and to be able to effectively communicate in the English language.

• Regular, active on-site presence will be required, but position may be hybrid/remote to the greatest extent possible for any administrative work or tele-health, as allowable.

Projected Total Compensation: $66,847.46 - $82,547.48 per year
