Therapy Etc is a private practice mental health clinic in Buffalo Grove, IL. We are seeking a licensed therapist (social worker, counselor, or psychologist) to join our team comprised of therapists, social workers, counselors and educational advocates.

We are a compassionate group of therapists who provide guidance, support and education to children (3+), adolescents, parents and families. We strive to improve social, emotional, behavioral and academic functioning through the holistic approach of ETC - Empowerment, Teaching and Connection!

We provide clinicians with an easy to use medical record system and a team who handles billing, marketing and administrative tasks. We provide group supervision (and lunch!) weekly for our clinical staff to collaborate, receive on-going education and team support!

Minimum Qualification Requirements

• Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in counseling or social work.
• Active, license (PsyD, LCSW, LSW, LMFT, AMFT, LCPC, LPC) in the State of Illinois.
• Must have 3-5 years experience in treating children and families
• Available to hold at least 15 patient sessions per week (PT) and 25 patient sessions per week (FT).
• Independent self-starter, who also demonstrates the ability to work in a team within a collaborative environment.
• A clinician who loves to learn with interest in additional training and expanding clinical knowledge.
• Previous work experience working with children and families.

Other Qualification Preferences

• Prior experience in a private practice setting.
• Independent licensure is preferred but to required.
• One or more niche markets for counseling/therapy services (ex: children, teens, trauma, anxiety, grief, anger management, etc.).
• A strong understanding of collaboration and the referral process to therapeutic programs.

Schedule

This is an in-person position

• The position currently calls to work in person on Mondays for group supervision.
• Given the population that we work with, it is imperative that our staff has adequate late evening and Saturday availability. If you elect to not work on a weekend day, then you must adjust your evening availability during weekdays.
• Hours are collaborated upon by the candidate and employer.
• Counseling appointments are held in the offices of Therapy Etc. (sometimes virtually)

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical counseling services to patients of Therapy Etc, as scheduled, and in accordance with company policies.
• Be properly licensed and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for Therapy Etc.
• Communicate with a patient’s treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary.
• Timely completion of written records for each patient including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contract notes, and other forms or documents. Keep patient files accurate and up to date.
