We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Therapist (LPC, APSW, or LMFT) to join our multidisciplinary team. Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive referrals for voluntary and involuntary clients with complex mental health and behavioral needs; conduct comprehensive assessments of treatment and intervention requirements.
• Provide individualized psychotherapeutic treatment across various modalities—including individual, couples, family, and group therapy—to address social, personal, developmental, behavioral, and mental health disorders.
• Develop and implement comprehensive, client-centered treatment plans utilizing effective psychotherapeutic methods.
• Interpret the nature of mental health conditions and guide clients and their families through prescribed courses of treatment.
• Participate actively in provider meetings, case reviews, and multidisciplinary team discussions to formulate accurate diagnoses and coordinated care plans.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with billing standards and mandated records requirements.
• Establish and maintain strong, effective working relationships with clients, families, staff, community partners, and the general public.
• Ensure strict adherence to federal and state confidentiality guidelines, including HIPAA and Wisconsin Statutes Chapter 51, regarding protected health information.
• Perform other related clinical and administrative duties as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in clinical psychology, counseling, counseling and guidance, social work, or a closely related mental health field.
• Licensure: Must possess active credentialing in the State of Wisconsin as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Advanced Practice Social Worker (APSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) as a minimum. (Note: Full independent licensure such as LPC or LCSW is preferred).
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional work experience in clinical counseling, psychotherapy, social work, or a related behavioral health setting.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Considerable knowledge of psychopathology, mental health principles, and advanced clinical therapy techniques.
• Working knowledge of psychotropic medications used in mental health treatment, including their common signs, symptoms, and side effects.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and assess clients presenting with substance use and co-occurring disorders.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) software, database systems, spreadsheets, interactive PDF files, and word processing programs.
• Familiarity with Wisconsin human service organizations, community mental health resources, and local support networks.
• Comprehensive understanding of state and federal confidentiality regulations, including HIPAA and Wisconsin Statutes, Chapter 51.
• Strong ability to interpret psychosocial factors and DSM-5 diagnoses to clients and families with empathy and clarity.
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively to mental health crises, utilizing appropriate de-escalation and emergency intervention protocols.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a high degree of cultural sensitivity and the ability to interact respectfully with individuals from diverse socioeconomic, racial, ethnic, and professional backgrounds across all age groups.

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20.0 per week
