Job Summary

The Clinical Therapist, Child & Family Specialist will provide outpatient, individual, and/or group therapy to clients of Bellaire Family Counseling. Clinical therapy services may include treatment of children, adolescents, families, and/or adults. We currently encourage applicants who have expertise working with children and adolescents.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

• Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or social work.
• Active license (Fully or provisionally licensed as PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT or LPC) in the state of Texas and any other states in which the individual provides clinical services. A copy must be provided to Bellaire Family Counseling.
• Have, or be willing to develop, expertise and specialization in working with children, adolescents, and families.

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise working with children is strongly preferred
• Registered Play Therapist (RPT) Credentials strongly considered
• Advanced, direct training in play therapy, adolescent mental health, and family systems
• Strong understanding of early childhood developmental psychology

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide clinical counseling services to clients of Bellaire Family Counseling in accordance with company policies, procedures, and clinical standards.
• Maintain active licensure and comply with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and professional codes of ethics governing the provision of clinical services.
• Complete timely, accurate, and thorough clinical documentation for each client.
• Charge and collect payment from clients for services provided, consistent with established practice policies and fee schedules.
• Respond to client communications within 24 hours during business days, whether via phone, voicemail, email, or the electronic health record.
• Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and professional development activities.
• Conduct interactions with clients, colleagues, and members of the community in a professional and respectful manner that reflects the values and reputation of Bellaire Family Counseling.
• Participate in structured internal collaboration and case staffing as a core component of clinical care.
• Collaborate with other professional care providers to support coordinated client care.
• Support client engagement and treatment progress through proactive scheduling and calendar management.
• Engage in ongoing specialty development aligned with practice needs.
• Participate in community outreach and engagement activities in support of the practice’s mission and values.
• Engage in appropriate clinical consultation to support client safety, ethical practice, and high-quality care, in accordance with practice policies.
• Contribute to the development of educational resources for the practice’s online learning platform, including courses, workshops, webinars, written materials, and other digital content.
• Perform other duties consistent with the role and scope of a Clinical Therapist within the practice.

Pay: $44,940.00 - $93,480.00 per year
