Position Summary

This is an exciting opportunity open to California BBS registered associates, including Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapists (AMFTs), Registered Associate Clinical Social Workers (ASWs), and Registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselors (APCCs), looking for flexibility in their work schedules and interested in growing with us! The Clinical Therapist and Program Associate will provide a hybrid of clinical and administrative services (50-70% direct clinical services, 30-50% administrative support). The Clinical Therapist and Program Associate will provide direct clinical services to children, adolescents, adults, and families. The Clinical Therapist and Program Associate will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions consistent with agency standards, ethical guidelines, and applicable county and state regulations. The Clinical Therapist and Program Associate will also fulfill administrative responsibilities to support clinic’s operations.

• Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy.

• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Utilize evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, EMDR, etc.).

• Conduct risk assessments and provide crisis intervention as needed.

• Participate in case consultations and multidisciplinary meetings.

• Support with caseload and service utilization tracking, intakes and referrals

• Support department with maintaining clinical forms, templates, workflows, and resources

• Help identify operational barriers affecting access to clinical services and recommend workflow improvements

• Maintain and organize clinical resources, protocols, referral directories, and internal clinical materials

• Help coordinate clinical team meetings, case consultation meetings, trainings, and other department activities.

• Assist with scheduling and coordination of clinical services when needed.

• Participate in special projects related to clinical quality improvement, program development, and service delivery.

• Collaborate with referral sources and community partners.

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and professional ethical standards.

• Participate in professional development and training activities.

Qualifications

• Active California BBS registration at the associate level (ASW, AMFT, or APCC), in good standing with the BBS

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field

• Two (2) total years of clinical experience preferred

• Experience working with trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, and underserved populations

• Experience working with neurodiverse communities preferred

• Experience working across diverse settings preferred

• Knowledge of Medi-Cal documentation standards preferred

• Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and crisis intervention skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Bi-lingual Spanish is preferred

• Willingness to sign non-compete documentation

Work Environment: Services may be delivered in-office or via telehealth depending on program needs. Some evening or weekend availability may be required.

Compensation Range

• $35.00 per clinical hour

• $25.00 per administrative hour

Physical and Environmental Requirements

Work is performed primarily in professional office and telehealth settings. The position requires the ability to perform the essential functions associated with providing clinical services, including communicating effectively with clients, families, colleagues, and community partners; accessing and documenting information using computers and electronic health record systems; participating in individual, family, and group sessions; and responding appropriately to clinical or crisis situations.

The position may involve periods of sitting, standing, walking, and using standard office and computer equipment. The employee must be able to move within the work environment and position themselves as reasonably necessary to provide clinical services and respond to client needs.

The role requires sufficient communication and information-processing abilities to conduct clinical assessments, evaluate risk, provide therapeutic interventions, maintain accurate documentation, and respond to urgent behavioral or mental health concerns.

Work Environment/Travel/Clearances

Work Environment: Clinical services may be provided in FACT office locations and through telehealth platforms based on program and client needs. The position involves regular interaction with children, adolescents, adults, families, clinical staff, referral sources, and community partners. Some evening or weekend availability may be required.

Travel: Occasional local travel may be required depending on program, client, training, meeting, or operational needs. Approved work-related travel is subject to FACT's applicable reimbursement policies.

Required Licensure / Professional Compliance: Must maintain an active and unrestricted California BBS registration or license appropriate to the position (ASW, AMFT, APCC, LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or Licensed Psychologist) and remain in compliance with applicable professional, ethical, HIPAA, agency, county, and state requirements. Required agency training and professional development must be completed and maintained as applicable to the assignment.

Required Clearances: Any background screening, health screening, credentialing, or other clearance required by FACT, a funding source, facility, payer, or assigned program must be successfully completed and maintained as a condition of the applicable assignment.

Pay: $35.00 per hour
