About True Self Recovery

True Self Recovery is a substance use disorder treatment facility grounded in Authenticity, Purpose, and Empathy. We provide a full continuum of care for clients working toward lasting recovery, and we're looking for an experienced clinical leader to help ensure our counseling team delivers high-quality, well-documented, and clinically sound care.

Position Summary

True Self Recovery is seeking a licensed Clinical Supervisor (LMFT) to provide clinical oversight of our counseling staff at the Rogers and Holiday Island campus. This role combines clinical leadership — supervision, documentation quality, and utilization review oversight — with a direct clinical caseload, providing individual and group counseling with a focus on trauma and couples/family work.

The ideal candidate is a licensed, experienced clinician who is as comfortable mentoring and holding staff accountable as they are sitting with a client in session.

  • Provide clinical oversight of all counseling staff, ensuring quality, ethical, and evidence-based care across the program
  • Conduct weekly individual and/or group clinical supervision for counselors, including licensure supervision hours where applicable
  • Review and approve clinical documentation (assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries) for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
  • Ensure all client charting is completed thoroughly and in a timely manner in accordance with facility, state, and Joint Commission standards
  • Oversee and ensure timely completion of utilization reviews (URs) for continued stay authorizations with insurance providers
  • Monitor caseloads and clinical workflows, identifying and addressing gaps in care or documentation
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and professional development support to counseling staff
  • Support onboarding and training of new clinical hires
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and case consultations
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and applicable state licensing regulations

Direct Clinical Services

  • Maintain a direct clinical caseload, providing individual counseling sessions, with a focus on trauma-informed care
  • Provide couples and family counseling for clients and their loved ones as part of the treatment process
  • Facilitate process and psychoeducational groups as needed
  • Complete timely, high-quality clinical documentation for all direct client contact
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the clinical team

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, or related field
  • LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) license in good standing in the state of Arkansas (required); LPC or LCSW with relevant experience may be considered
  • Prior experience in substance use disorder treatment required
  • Experience providing clinical supervision to counseling staff, including toward licensure hours, strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of utilization review processes and insurance documentation requirements
  • Specialized training or strong clinical experience in trauma treatment (e.g., EMDR, CPT, Seeking Safety) and couples/family therapy modalities (e.g., Gottman, EFT)
  • Strong understanding of clinical documentation standards and Joint Commission/state compliance requirements
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working in KIPU or willing to learn
  • Compassionate, non-judgmental, and collaborative approach to leading a clinical team.
