Clinical Professional Counselor

Therapy and Psychological Services of Nevada is a growing mental health practice. Our practice’s mission is to provide accessible, culturally-focused and trauma-sensitive services to the community.

We are looking to contract with interns who want to work under supervision to gain clinical experience and accrue hours.

Looking for:

Clinical Professional Counselors Interns (CPC-I)

All other trainees considered on a case-by-case basis

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial assessment (e.g., clinical interview, measure baseline symptoms)

• Create individualized treatment plans in collaboration with each patient, taking into account patient’s goals and current skills

• Provide individual therapy (opportunities for marriage/family therapy and group therapy also available)

• Manage patient charts appropriately and in a timely manner (e.g., manage patient record by documenting treatment progress and patient communication)

• Provide patients with referrals to community resources when necessary

• Maintain client confidentiality, adhere to HIPAA requirements, and follow field-specific ethical and legal guidelines

• Maintain license in good standing

Therapist Required Qualifications:

• Strong clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills

• Good time-management

• Good housekeeping and safeguarding of patient’s records and privacy

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with children/youth, military families, and couples preferred, but not required

• Bilingual skills (Spanish preferred)

Pay: $40.00 - $70.00 per hour
