Clinical Director - LPC/LCSW

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Director with licensure as an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) or LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) who is credentialed to supervise LAC position. In this pivotal role, you will oversee clinical operations, ensure the delivery of high-quality mental health and behavioral care, and foster a collaborative environment that promotes growth and excellence. You will be responsible for supervising clinical staff, managing patient care processes, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards including HIPAA and medical documentation requirements. Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to licensed clinicians, interns, and support staff, fostering professional development and maintaining high standards of care.
• Oversee intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and ongoing patient assessments for diverse populations including children, adolescents, adults, and individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders.
• Lead the delivery of individual therapy, group therapy, family counseling, and specialized interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), motivational interviewing, and crisis management.
• Manage clinical documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Coordinate case management activities including patient care planning, crisis intervention, social work services, and working with families to support holistic treatment approaches.
• Develop and implement clinical protocols aligned with best practices in mental health and behavioral health care; monitor outcomes through data collection and research initiatives.
• Ensure all clinical activities adhere to licensing board standards, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical terminology accuracy.

Skills

• Proven experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with co-occurring disorders, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), neurodevelopmental disabilities, and mental health conditions.
• Strong background in behavioral therapy techniques including applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management strategies, and trauma-informed care such as PTSD care.
• Expertise in crisis management and crisis intervention strategies to effectively de-escalate situations while ensuring patient safety.
• Skilled in conducting intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations using ICD coding systems, patient assessment tools, and clinical research methodologies.
• Excellent leadership skills in clinical team management; experience supervising clinicians and supporting staff in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/EHR management), medical records maintenance, CPT coding procedures for billing purposes, and working within HIPAA guidelines.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds; experience providing child & family counseling within educational or hospital settings is preferred.
• Strong communication skills for client interaction, documentation accuracy, case management coordination, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
