Clinical Christian Therapist (LMFT)

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Christian Therapist (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist - LMFT) to join our dynamic mental health team. Duties

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health needs, including diagnostic evaluations using ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding standards.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, family therapy, and Christian counseling techniques.
• Provide individual, group, couples, and family therapy sessions utilizing modalities like motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care for PTSD, and applied behavior analysis when appropriate.
• Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to ensure client safety while adhering to clinical ethical guidelines and HIPAA regulations for confidential medical documentation.
• Collaborate with clients’ families and support systems through home & community care strategies to promote ongoing recovery and stability.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation standards including medical records, progress notes, treatment summaries, and case management documentation in compliance with healthcare diagnosis codes (ICD-10/ICD-9).
• Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to deliver counseling interventions remotely while maintaining high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Valid LMFT license; experience working within faith-based settings is preferred.
• Proven expertise in mental health counseling with a focus on children, adolescents, adults, and families; experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of diagnostic evaluation procedures using ICD coding systems (ICD-10/ICD-9) along with medical terminology relevant to behavioral health.
• Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques, crisis management protocols, and trauma-informed care practices including PTSD care.
• Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics; familiarity with special education systems is a plus.
• Skilled in counseling interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, family therapy, marriage & family therapy, and behavioral management strategies.
• Excellent communication skills for client engagement, case management, and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with clinical research methodologies and documentation standards aligned with healthcare regulations like HIPAA.
• Ability to work effectively via telehealth platforms while maintaining professional boundaries and delivering evidence-based practice solutions.

Pay: $88,563.95 - $96,922.89 per year
