Position Summary
As a Mental Health Therapist, you will provide outpatient behavioral health services—including comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, psychotherapy, and clinical documentation—under supportive clinical supervision. This role is tailored for compassionate, motivated graduates seeking to build strong clinical foundations while making a meaningful impact in underserved communities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans and establish measurable goals.
- Provide individual and group therapy services.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment interventions in consultation with clinical supervisors.
- Coordinate care with primary care providers, psychiatrists, community agencies, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Adhere to ethical, legal, and professional standards, including Pennsylvania licensing requirements and HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Active Pennsylvania license or associate/provisional license status (e.g., LSW, LAC, LAMFT, Pre-licensed Psychologist, or newly licensed LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PhD, PsyD).
- Foundational knowledge of evidence-based modalities (CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care).
- Strong desire to learn, grow, and participate actively in clinical supervision.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and empathetic skills.
Preferred
- Practicum, internship, or field placement experience in outpatient or community mental health settings.
- Experience or interest in serving diverse and multicultural populations.
