Overview

Seeking a child specializing psychotherapist to join our dedicated team at our busy and well established private practice. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, evidence-based mental health counseling services to children and their parents. This role requires a strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and the ability to work with diverse populations, including children and adolescents and those in the LGBTQIA community. The psychotherapist will utilize both in-person and telehealth platforms to deliver effective treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.

We are open to part-time or full-time candidates. This position is for EITHER our South Hills office location, conveniently located at 363 Vanadium Rd (on the cross roads of Scott Township, Mt Lebanon, and Upper St Clair), or our Shadyside location at 5830 Ellsworth Ave, 15232.

Duties

  • Conduct intake sessions to determine clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide therapy sessions utilizing various modalities, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT, Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, Art/Play based Therapy.
  • Offer support for clients managing anxiety, depression, ADHD. Experience treating OCD a bonus, but we can provide training in ERP.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for clients.
  • Offer Parent Guidance when appropriate so the parents gain more therapeutic approaches to parenting.

Experience

  • A Master's degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required.
  • Licensure as a Psychotherapist or equivalent credential is preferred.
  • Experience in telehealth services is a plus, demonstrating the ability to effectively engage clients remotely.
  • Previous experience working with children and adolescents is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with various therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is essential. Additional training in ERP or EMDR is a plus.
