Child Psychologist (PsyD, PhD, MFT, AMFT, LMFT)

Pediatric Minds Medical Center, Early Childhood Treatment Center is an innovative inter-disciplinary clinical program specializing in the evaluation and treatment of children with neurodevelopmental disabilities and mental health conditions.

PMMC is the only IOP for preschool aged children in CA, at the Early Childhood Treatment Center (ECTC). PMMC is in search of full-time or part-time individuals who are highly motivated, collaborative, and enthusiastic MFTs or Post-Doctoral Psychology fellows to work in our fast-paced environment.

We use evidence-based treatment strategies with patients, both individually and in small group settings. We focus on working with young children ages 2 ½ yrs to 7yrs of age with a myriad of mental health and neuro-develomental disorders including Anxiety Disorder, Mood Disorders, patients with genetic disorders and behavioral issues, Autism with co-morbid mental health issues, etc. We also work with the families and have a large focus on parent training. Responsibilities

• Administer, score, and interpret neuropsychological and developmental assessments in the outpatient setting for school aged children and young adults
• Write comprehensive neuropsychological assessment reports for schools and provide reports for IEP (Individual Education Plan) meetings
• Supervise and/or provide individual therapy to patients, lead group therapy sessions, etc
• Oversee treatment of children within the IOP program while working closely with their families and the rest of the team
• Conduct weekly family session/trainings
• Collaborate regularly with all members of the multidisciplinary team
• Participate in weekly patient rounds /Patient Treatment Review (PTR)
• Maintain written documentation standards in a timely and professional manner
• Write Comprehensive Assessment/Evaluation and Discharge Reports
• Attend and Facilitate Trainings on Relative Topics to the Mental Health Care of Early Childhood
• Maintain in High Regard and Adhere to the Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct

Requirements

• Doctorate or master's degree
• Licensed Child Psychologist or licensed MFT, LMFT
• Experience working with special needs children and their families
• Knowledge of psychoparmacology
• Familiarity with data collections methods
