Role Summary: Child & Family Psychotherapist

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Child & Family Therapist to join our team and help us expand our services in meaningful ways. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working with children as young as five, while also supporting couples, blended families, and relationships of all kinds with an inclusive, affirming approach.

We are especially excited to welcome someone who can bring creativity and passion to our child and family program. This is a unique opportunity to step into a role where your expertise can help fill an important gap and shape the future of our family-focused care.

  • Offer 25 client hours per week on a full-time basis over 4.5 days, including two required evening session until 7PM.
  • Show a passion for trauma therapy, with a willingness to pursue further specialization and training as needed to meet client needs.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities, maintaining high efficiency.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to personal and professional growth through ongoing development and continuing education in mental health practices.
  • Participate in or be open to training in working within a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) model, and collaborate with our DBT team on weekly basis to enhance client outcomes.
  • Provide a range of therapeutic services including individual, group, and family therapy, employing a trauma-informed approach.
  • Utilize digital literacy skills to accurately and diligently manage electronic health records, ensuring each client’s story is honored with meticulous care and maintained in a timely manner.
  • Employ superior communication and interpersonal abilities to cultivate a collaborative and healthy atmosphere, contributing positively to both team cohesion and client well-being.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in applying evidence-based mental health practices to ensure effective and scientifically supported client care.
  • Ideal candidates will have experience or interest in working on a DBT Team, family and child therapy, and trauma-informed care.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience post-licensure
  • Doctoral or Master's degree in Counseling or related field (e.g. PhD, EdD, PsyD, Psychologist, MS, or MA)
  • Current Licensure or eligibility for licensure in Florida as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Psychologist, or similar.
  • Understanding and commitment to upholding ethical standards and legal guidelines in mental health treatment and patient care.
  • Experience with individual, group, and family therapy
