About the Role

We're seeking a fully licensed, independently practicing therapist (LMSW, LPC, or LMFT) with expertise in child and adolescent mental health to join our practice as a 1099 independent contractor. You'll build a caseload of young clients (and their families) with support from our intake and scheduling systems, set your own hours, and choose your mix of in-person and telehealth sessions. This is a great fit for a clinician who wants the freedom of private practice with the built-in referral base and infrastructure of an established group.

What You'll Do

• Provide individual psychotherapy to children and/or adolescents (specify age range, e.g., 5–17), with developmentally appropriate modalities (play therapy, art therapy, CBT, DBT skills, etc., as applicable)
• Engage caregivers/family systems as clinically appropriate — parent consultations, family sessions, collateral contact with schools or pediatricians when relevant
• Complete timely, compliant clinical documentation (treatment plans, progress notes) tailored to minor clients
• Maintain your own client scheduling within practice guidelines
• Participate in occasional case consultation or peer support (optional/as available)
• Uphold ethical and legal standards per your licensing board and Michigan law, including informed consent and confidentiality considerations specific to minors

Qualifications

• Active, independent Michigan clinical license: LMSW, LPC, or LMFT (required — no limited licenses for this contractor role)
• Demonstrated experience working with children and/or adolescents (clinical training, supervised hours, or prior caseload experience)
• Familiarity with developmentally appropriate therapeutic approaches (e.g., play therapy, art therapy, CBT for youth, family systems)
• Ability to practice both in-person (Metro Detroit area) and via telehealth
• Malpractice insurance (or willingness to obtain)
• Comfortable with independent practice management (self-directed documentation, scheduling discipline)
• Strong clinical and ethical judgment; capacity to work autonomously
• Experience with school-age behavioral concerns, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, family conflict, or related presentations a plus
• Must pass a background check prior to onboarding, as required for clinicians working with minors

Pay: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
