About Us: Kinetic Mental Health (also operating as Claritas Family Counseling) is a values-driven, community-oriented group practice. We specialize in providing neurodivergent-affirming, strengths-based care to children, youth, and families. We invest heavily in our operational and administrative infrastructure (scheduling, billing, credentialing, EHR) so that our clinical team can focus entirely on doing excellent, affirming clinical work without fighting an inefficient system.

Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and skilled Child Therapist (working with youth under 16) to join our Danville team. This position is a high-priority backfill due to a clinician relocation, and we have a waitlist of clients ready for an immediate start, allowing you to build your caseload (20 sessions/week) quickly. We are looking to fill this position by the end of September 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, neurodiversity-affirming individual therapy to children (under 16) and their families.
• Integrate play therapy and somatic/creative modalities to support emotional regulation and development.
• Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, and schools to support client care planning.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant clinical documentation in our EHR system.

Requirements

• Master’s-level program in Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Social Work, Professional Clinical Counseling, or a related field.
• Active California licensure (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC) OR active registration with the California BBS (AMFT, ASW, APCC).
• Demonstrable experience and/or training in play therapy modalities (or a strong desire for specialization and training).
• Experience and strong alignment with neurodivergent-affirming care (ADHD, Autism, AuDHD) preferred, though candidates with a strong desire for specialization and training are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Availability for afternoon, evening, and/or weekend sessions to accommodate school schedules.
