CE Accreditation Advisor – Licensed Counselor
Overview of the Continuing Education Team
The PESI Continuing Education Team is responsible for supporting PESI’s continuing education efforts by ensuring accreditation compliance with national, state, and international professional board/organization requirements (e.g., APA, ACCME, ANCC, ASHA, ASWB). In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence the world-class continuing education programs PESI develops for mental health, rehab, healthcare and education professionals. This role includes reviewing educational content and speaker credentials for compliance purposes, evaluating the educational reviews of other professionals, working with others to implement process improvements, and research and implementation of accreditation board guidelines. The CE Accreditation Advisor will have the opportunity to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment where growth and professionalism will be achieved largely through sound judgment, sense of urgency, integrity, creativity, and a balance between strategic and tactical skills.
What You Will Be Doing: (responsibilities)
- Ensure adherence to board requirements in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of courses offered
- Critically review continuing education program content and provide honest feedback and suggestions for improvement
- Research and document the educational needs of licensed counselor (and other related professionals)
- Evaluate the state of the evidence underlying clinical recommendations within educational program content
- Review, evaluate, and implement content feedback from other professionals
- Onboard and provide training for independent content consultants as needed
- Identify and implement process improvements within the CE department and across the organization as needed
- Communicate with boards and with internal partners across the organization to ensure accreditation requirements are met
- Create written statements of rationale for the selection of presenters
- Respond to board inquiries and attendee requests in a timely manner
- Responsible for other duties as assigned
What You Bring to the Team: (skills and requirements)
- 5+ years as a licensed counselor with clinical or other professional counselor experience
- A working knowledge of evidence-based assessments and interventions within the mental health field
- A passion for clinical education and lifelong learning
Demonstrated ability to locate and critically evaluate peer-reviewed research in the mental health and healthcare fields
- Problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in organizing and prioritizing workload
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to thrive in a team environment while also working independently
What Would Thrill Us

- Experience working with or for an association or board which accredits CE
- Experience working with clinical research
