About the role
Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and bilingual Licensed Mental Health Clinician to join our outpatient psychiatry practice. The ideal candidate is fluent in English and Spanish and is dedicated to providing high-quality behavioral health services to a diverse patient population. This individual will work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and support staff to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.
The successful candidate will have experience conducting mental health assessments, providing individual psychotherapy, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and working within an electronic health record system. Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) and knowledge of behavioral health CPT coding are highly preferred.
Essential Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychosocial and mental health assessments.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
Provide evidence-based individual psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and/or adults.
Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation in eClinicalWorks (eCW).
Utilize appropriate behavioral health CPT codes and ensure documentation supports billing and insurance requirements.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
Provide crisis assessment, intervention, and referrals when necessary.
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment recommendations, medications, and community resources.
Participate in clinical case reviews and multidisciplinary team meetings.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA, state licensing regulations, and organizational policies.
Qualifications
Active, unrestricted state license as one of the following:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written) is required.
Minimum of two years of experience providing outpatient behavioral health or psychiatric services preferred.
Experience working in a psychiatry or behavioral health clinic is highly desirable.
Experience using eClinicalWorks (eCW) or similar Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Knowledge of behavioral health documentation standards and CPT coding.
Excellent communication, clinical assessment, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma-related disorders, and other common psychiatric conditions.
Experience providing care to culturally diverse populations.
Familiarity with commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid documentation requirements.
Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
