Our site is approved & above position is eligible for an educational loan repayment program based on our non-profit status ($25k-$100k lump sum with 2-3 year employment commitment criteria based on hours).

SUMMARY

• Position functions as part of an engaged, collaborative and experienced health clinic with behavioral health, primary care & recovery program services in one location.
• Full licensure in State of Michigan preferred; MCBAP credential (CAADC) or development plan preferred. This position is part of a Health and Substance Use Disorder treatment model, offering Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and other Recovery Program services.
• Full-time position (40hrs/week) consisting of stable caseload, stable M-F only hours corresponding to Clinic hours; could require occasional late afternoon/early evening coverage, including option for a 4x10 schedule arrangement if desired. No weekends/no holidays/no travel/no on-call.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs outpatient therapy, casework, planning, consultation, coordination, advocacy, referral assessment and psychotherapeutic interventions based on social, emotional, behavioral and economic needs of Clinic clientele.
• Clients range in age 8+ to all ages and stages of life predominately serving our underserved populations from Traverse City & surrounding communities ensuring no one's health gets left behind providing a safe, caring setting. Clients have access to medical providers onsite as well and a variety of support and referral services – all in one location.
• Performs individual, couples or group counseling.
• Participates in various weekly, monthly team and departmental meetings to support self, peer and overall team initiatives related to client care.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Has obtained a Masters degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy or closely related field from a university within appropriate accreditation and had suitable academic standing.
• Provides evidence of and maintains full licensure in the State of Michigan.
• MCBAP credential (CAADC) or development plan in place preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of therapy professional practice consistent with educational level and experiences.
• Well-developed skills in human relations, communication, problem solving, boundary-setting and organization.
• Ability to relate well with diverse populations of varying socio-economic backgrounds.
