About the role
Associate Therapist (AMFT, APCC, ASW)
$50–$55 per Clinical Hour | W-2 | Part-Time | 25–30 Hours/Week | San Diego, CA
Paid Training | Individual & Group Supervision | Steady Referrals | Flexible Schedule
Resilience Counseling is looking for an Associate Therapist (AMFT, APCC, or ASW) who enjoys working with kids and teens and wants to continue developing their clinical skills.
We are a specialty mental health practice in San Diego providing evidence-based treatment for OCD, anxiety, and trauma to children, teens, and adults.
You do not need previous OCD experience. Our Associate Therapist Training Program provides training, supervision, and ongoing mentorship in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), OCD, and anxiety treatment.
What We Offer
- $50–$55 per clinical hour
- W-2 employee position
- Approximately 25–30 hours per week
- Access to a 401(k) retirement plan
- Flexible scheduling
- Steady client referrals
- Individual and small-group supervision
- Paid training opportunities
- Individualized training and mentorship
- Training in ERP and OCD treatment
- Administrative and scheduling support
- Supportive and collaborative team
- Modern, comfortable office space in San Diego
We want our associates to be able to focus on their clients and developing their skills as therapists. Our administrative team provides scheduling and office support, and we provide referrals so you are not responsible for building your own caseload.
Qualifications
- Current California BBS registration as an AMFT, APCC, or ASW
- Master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, counseling, or a related field
- Experience working with children and/or teens
- Able to provide in-person therapy at our San Diego office
- Interested in evidence-based treatment and continued learning
- BBS registration number must be included on your resume
Experience treating OCD or anxiety is a plus, but it is not required. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with kids and teens, is open to learning, and wants to continue developing as a therapist.
Training and Professional Growth
One of the benefits of joining Resilience Counseling as an associate is the opportunity to develop specialized clinical skills while working toward licensure.
Our clinicians use evidence-based treatments including:
- Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Associates receive ongoing supervision, individualized mentorship, and paid opportunities to learn OCD and anxiety treatment.
Our goal is for you to leave your associate years with more than just the hours required for licensure. We want you to develop strong clinical skills and specialty experience that will continue to benefit you throughout your career.
