Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Associate Marriage and Family Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to understand clients’ mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Deliver individual, couples, family, and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and family therapy.
• Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to ensure client safety during urgent situations.
• Collect and document clinical data accurately following clinical documentation standards, HIPAA regulations, and medical terminology guidelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans, including case management and community outreach efforts.
• Maintain detailed medical records, progress notes, and treatment documentation in compliance with healthcare diagnosis codes like ICD-10 and CPT coding for billing purposes.
• Participate in clinical research initiatives to enhance therapeutic techniques and contribute to the advancement of behavioral health practices.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Valid licensure or registration as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist or equivalent in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Experience working with children, families, couples, and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
• Proficiency in counseling interventions such as motivational interviewing, applied behavior analysis (ABA), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and trauma-informed care including PTSD management.
• Strong skills in crisis intervention, crisis management, and behavioral health assessment.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms for remote counseling sessions.
• Knowledge of clinical ethical guidelines, HIPAA compliance standards, ICD coding systems (ICD-9/10), CPT coding (CPT), and medical documentation procedures.
• Excellent communication skills for client engagement, social work practices, family therapy sessions, and collaboration with healthcare providers.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team while adhering to clinical documentation standards.
