Associate Therapist Opportunity – AMFT or APCC Long Beach, CA | In-Person & Teletherapy | EMDR Training Required

I am currently seeking an AMFT or APCC to join my private practice in Long Beach, California.

Our office is located in the Naples Plaza Medical Building, with beautiful views of Alamitos Bay. The office is fully furnished and includes a comfortable lobby where clients can relax before appointments.

This position is a good fit for an associate who is motivated to build and maintain a caseload of approximately 10–20 clients per week. Caseload development will be a shared effort. I will provide referrals generated through the practice and our marketing efforts, while the associate will also be expected to actively build their caseload through networking, Psychology Today, community connections, and other appropriate referral sources.

I provide BBS supervision, furnished office space, SimplePractice, practice marketing, and support in developing your caseload.

Available office hours currently include:

• Mondays
• Saturdays

The ideal candidate is mature, dependable, ethical, responsible, motivated, and committed to providing high-quality care. Because the position includes in-person work, applicants should live in or reasonably near Long Beach, CA.

EMDR training is required. Please apply only if you have completed an approved basic EMDR training program, including the required consultation/supervision component.

This position is intended for an associate who still has meaningful time remaining before licensure. I am looking for someone interested in becoming part of the practice for at least one year, so this would not be an ideal fit for someone who has already completed their BBS hours or is very close to completing them.
