Job Summary

The Associate Wraparound Clinician plays a pivotal role within the Wraparound process, supporting children, youth, and parents by integrating evidence-based and promising practices with a love-based approach. As a valued member of the Child and Family Team (CFT), the Associate Wraparound Clinician identifies therapeutic needs, addresses non-functional behaviors, interpersonal challenges, and unresolved trauma histories while reinforcing strengths across various life domains. This position requires significant travel (50–75%) to client homes and community settings in order to provide in-person clinical support to Wraparound families. Travel may extend up to 100 miles in any direction and may at times require overnight stays.

Key functions, accountabilities, and related duties

• Collaborate with the Child and Family Team (CFT) to assess the needs and strengths of family members, prioritizing using the CANS assessment and tracking client progress.
• Provide family therapy to facilitate healing and achieve Care Plan objectives for the entire family unit.
• Lead Family Care Team (FCT) meetings with internal staff, providing clinical advisement and assigning action steps to ensure appropriate behavioral interventions for clients are implemented.
• Engage parents, youth, and children in the treatment process, aligning with their goals for a better future.
• Support youth and parents in participating meaningfully in the team planning process while respecting confidentiality.
• De-escalate crises and contribute to the development of safety plans.
• Utilize professional knowledge to contribute to the development of individualized Wraparound plans, ensuring confidentiality.
• Track progress on established goals with measurable outcomes in functional areas of youth and caregiver lives.
• Cultivate respectful, effective partnerships with youth, caregivers, and team members.
• Complete necessary documentation and participate in recognizing successes.
• Travel regularly to family homes and community locations across a wide geographic area, including occasional overnight stays, to provide direct in-person clinical support.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current AMFT licensure

• Minimum 2 years experience in a social services setting required

• Minimum 2 years experience in wraparound services preferred.

• Experience and training in effective service approaches for system-involved youth and families.
• Proficient in clear and concise writing.
• Comfortable as both a teacher and learner.
• Demonstrates cultural humility, curiosity, and an understanding of issues such as implicit bias, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Knowledgeable about the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) and tribal considerations as they relate to Wraparound.
• Familiarity with systemic issues contributing to racism and discrimination, particularly in over-represented communities.
• Engaging, non-judgmental, and optimistic with a strength-based approach.
• Proactive in communication and adept at engaging individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Self-aware with constructive use of supervision and self-care practices.
• Exhibits tact, judgment, and self-regulation in professional interactions.
• Skilled in teamwork, collaboration, trauma-informed care, and innovative trauma models.
• Familiar with Medi-Cal documentation requirements.
• Must have reliable transportation, the ability to travel extensively (50–75%), and willingness to complete overnight stays when required.

Pay: $88,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
