Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor or Certified Social Worker

Duties

• Observing thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to inform treatment planning.
• Provide individual, family counseling sessions incorporating evidence-based practices such as psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, or art therapy when appropriate.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety and stability during acute episodes.
• Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards, HIPAA regulations, and ethical guidelines.
• Facilitate telehealth therapy sessions using secure EMR/EHR systems to expand access and flexibility for clients.
• Engage in case management activities including patient care coordination, medical documentation, and follow-up assessments for clients with complex needs such as PTSD or autism spectrum disorders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support clients’ social support systems, including special education programs and community resources.

Requirements

• Valid licensure or certification as an Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor or Certified Social Worker with relevant state credentials.
• Demonstrated experience working with children, youth, or adults in clinical settings; inpatient or outpatient experience preferred.
• Proficiency in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and behavior management techniques.
• Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation; familiarity with CPT coding is a plus.
• Strong clinical documentation skills adhering to standards for medical records and legal compliance under HIPAA.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or co-occurring disorders; experience in crisis intervention and risk assessment essential.
• Ability to utilize telehealth platforms effectively; experience working within EMR/EHR systems is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills for client engagement, family counseling, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Pay: From $40.00 per hour
