Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive counseling services to individuals, families, and couples, fostering positive change and emotional well-being. You will utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including behavioral therapy, family therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy, to support clients through various mental health challenges. Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards and HIPAA regulations.
• Deliver individual, group, family, and couples therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
• Implement counseling interventions tailored to clients’ needs, including crisis intervention and crisis management strategies.
• Collect and analyze clinical data to monitor progress and adjust treatment approaches accordingly.
• Maintain accurate medical records, documentation of psychotherapy sessions, and case management notes in compliance with healthcare diagnosis codes (ICD-10/ICD-9) and CPT coding standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans for clients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, or other behavioral health conditions.
• Engage in telehealth services to expand access to care while ensuring adherence to clinical ethical guidelines and patient communication best practices.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed an accredited Master’s program in Marriage & Family Therapy (MFT), Social Work, Psychology or related field; eligible for licensure as an AMFT.
• Experience working with children, families, couples, or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of counseling interventions such as motivational interviewing, behavioral management, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and trauma-informed care including PTSD.
• Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols.
• Demonstrated ability to collect clinical data accurately and adhere to documentation standards including HIPAA compliance.
• Experience working within healthcare diagnosis frameworks using ICD-10/ICD-9 coding systems.
• Telehealth experience is a plus; excellent client communication skills are essential.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and clinical research methodologies is advantageous.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
