Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide evidence-based psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals, families, and groups across diverse settings. Duties

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments, clinical evaluations, and diagnostic evaluations using established medical terminology and clinical documentation standards.
• Deliver individual, group, couples, and family therapy utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
• Implement counseling interventions tailored to client needs, including crisis intervention and crisis management techniques to ensure safety and stability.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines.
• Engage in case management activities such as data collection, progress tracking, and treatment planning to support client outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, healthcare providers, educators, and community organizations to coordinate home & community care efforts.
• Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to provide remote counseling services while adhering to clinical research standards.

Requirements

• Current enrollment or licensure as an AMFT with the appropriate state licensing board.
• Experience working with children, families, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD care, or addiction counseling preferred.
• Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques and behavioral management strategies.
• Knowledge of ICD-10/ICD-9 coding systems for diagnosis documentation; CPT coding experience is a plus.
• Strong skills in crisis intervention, crisis management, and working with individuals experiencing mental health crises.
• Familiarity with clinical research protocols, medical terminology, medical documentation standards, and HIPAA compliance.
• Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics and special education settings is highly desirable.
• Excellent client communication skills for effective individual/group counseling and family therapy sessions.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team within hospital or community-based environments; telehealth experience is advantageous.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
