Addiction/Mental Health Therapist - LMHC/LCAC/LCSW

Position Overview

Synergy Recovery Network is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Master’s-level Therapist/Counselor to join our clinical team. This role will provide individual, group, and family therapy to adults with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Experience working in a Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOT) or Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) setting is highly preferred but not required. The ideal candidate is client-centered, recovery-focused, and able to deliver evidence-based interventions in a structured therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family counseling to clients enrolled in IOP/PHP and outpatient levels of care.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, including biopsychosocial, risk assessments, and ASAM criteria evaluations.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and interdisciplinary team members.
• Facilitate psychoeducational, relapse prevention, skills training, and process groups aligned with program curriculum.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, case managers, peers, and housing staff to ensure integrated care.
• Document all services in compliance with Indiana Medicaid, DMHA, HIPAA, and 42 CFR Part 2 requirements.
• Participate in clinical team meetings, treatment reviews, and utilization review processes.
• Provide crisis intervention and develop appropriate safety and relapse prevention plans.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with state regulations, NARR standards, and Synergy Recovery Network policies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field.
• Active Indiana license (or license-eligible): LMHC, LMFT, LCSW, LCAC, or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in addiction and/or co-occurring mental health treatment.
• Experience in a PHP, IOP, or higher level of care preferred.
• Strong understanding of ASAM criteria, evidence-based treatment models, and trauma-informed care.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
