Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic 1099 Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) therapist to join our team on weekends. This flexible role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing high-quality mental health services to diverse populations, including CHILDREN , adolescents, and adults. As a Part time LPC therapist, you will deliver evidence-based psychotherapy in person therapy ensuring accessible and compassionate care. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their wellness goals in a supportive environment.

Duties

  • Provide individual, and family therapy sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage urgent situations effectively and ensure client safety.
  • Engage in case management activities, including treatment planning, progress documentation, and medical records maintenance in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for clients with complex needs such as autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, chronic pain, or developmental disabilities
  • Document all clinical interactions thoroughly using appropriate medical terminology and CPT coding for billing purposes.

Requirements

  • Valid state licensure as an LPC or equivalent mental health counseling credential with experience working with children and families. Must be fully licensed
  • Proven expertise in psychotherapy techniques including motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, social work practices, and crisis management.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, Geriatrics or pediatrics is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for diagnostic documentation..
  • Ability to handle crisis situations calmly while employing behavior management strategies and trauma-informed care principles.
  • Excellent communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient care—ready to support clients through grief counseling or play supported therapy when needed.
